Equipment is one of the three main categories of items in Planet Explorers, the other two being Items and Resources.

Weapons[]

Weapons are tools that can be equipped and used to damage animals and Marians. Currently you cannot damage NPCs and multiplayer has not yet been implemented.

Melee Weapons[]

Two types of melee weapons currently exist. Axes can be used to chop down trees and also do damage. The starting knife is included in this category. Swords can only be used to deal damage, but deal more damage than an axe of equivalent material.
